International coastal cleanup day - Nurdle Hunt
SEP 19 2026
03:00 AM - 05:00 AM
Abu Dhabi
Join us for a morning of hands-on citizen science along the pristine shores of Saadiyat Island. We are gathering to survey, identify, and remove nurdles—tiny pre-production plastic pellets that pose a significant threat to our marine life and coastal ecosystems. As part of our commitment to safeguarding UAE’s biodiversity, your findings will directly contribute vital data to ongoing marine pollution research and conservation tracking. Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026 Time: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM Location: Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas, Abu Dhabi Meeting Point: Beach area (exact meeting pin shared upon registration) What to bring: Reusable water bottle, sun protection (hat/sunscreen), and comfortable outdoor footwear suitable for walking on sand. Sifting and collection gear will be provided on-site. Spaces are limited to ensure minimal disturbance to the coastline. Reserve your spot to take direct action for our oceans!
