Since its inception in 2019, Connect with Nature has inspired over 14,000 participants, who have dedicated more than 22,000 hours to environmental conservation across 250 events. The Experience: What We Offer

Connect with Nature Field Trips: We’re offering 50 immersive trips annually for over 2000 students. These hands-on experiences are designed to align with environmental education goals while making learning fun and impactful. Students will learn new skills as they train to become citizen scientists and gain a unique opportunity to contribute to local and global conservation efforts. 

• Dive into the muddy mangrove forests to collect valuable data!

• Contribute to conservation by assessing the health of the forest, recording biodiversity, and identifying threats.

• Discover how mangroves boost our resilience to climate change, protect our coasts from flooding, and support diverse marine life.

• Head outdoors to collect, categorize and weigh litter found across our marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

• Gather valuable data that helps shape conservation strategies and environmental policies. 

• Raise awareness about the importance of keeping our natural surroundings litter-free!

• Save animal and bird lives by removing tiny plastic pellets from our coastlines.

• Contribute to critical data on microplastic pollution.

• Combine adventure with conservation!
• Kayak through coastal areas, collect hard-to-reach litter, and contribute to environmental policies.
• Connect with nature and understand the importance of protecting marine environments.

• Explore native plant species and use iNaturalist to document plant diversity.

• Interview elders from local communities to gather traditional knowledge around how these plants can be used.

• Help build EAD’s knowledge database to preserve our national heritage and promote cultural conservation.
