Kayak for Conservation: Protect Marine Ecosystems

Combine adventure and impact on this exciting conservation kayaking experience! Students will paddle through coastal mangrove areas, reaching hard-to-access spots to collect litter, record data, and help protect fragile marine environments. This hands-on activity empowers youth to make a real difference while supporting national efforts to reduce pollution and preserve biodiversity.

Students will:

✅ Collect litter and track different types of waste, focusing on plastics
✅ Gather data to support marine conservation and policies to reduce pollution

🌊 Why it matters
Mangroves and coastal ecosystems are home to incredible wildlife and act as natural barriers, protecting our shorelines from erosion and storm surges. They play a vital role in strengthening our resilience to climate change. But plastic pollution and other environmental pressures are putting these habitats at risk. Every piece of litter removed and recorded during this trip helps create cleaner, healthier marine habitats and empowers students to make a tangible difference.
