🌍 Why it matters
Pollution is one of the biggest threats facing our planet today. By surveying and collecting litter, students learn firsthand about its harmful impact on ecosystems, wildlife, and communities. This hands-on activity raises awareness and empowers students to act as citizen scientists. The data they collect offers real-world insight into the types and sources of marine and land-based debris across the UAE, helping shape conservation strategies and inform policy efforts to reduce pollution at its source.
