Escape with us to Zakher Lake and revive your connection to nature. Zakher lake is a man-made lake which was created from treated wastewater that was eventually released onto land pushing up ground water levels. It became home to various species of birds and fishes. The area provides a unique view of a lake, desert and mountains at the same time. It is a great location for overnight camping, bird-watching and connecting with nature. We will be having a walk and a picnic around the lake and cleaning up as we go!
Later at noon, we will give you the option to join us in exploring Al Ain Oasis, one of the heritage gems of the UAE, it has more than 147,000 date palms and houses up to 100 different varieties of vegetation. The oasis is also based on “Al Falaj” watering system which demonstrate how our ancestors used to share the water supply efficiently across plants.
