Our coastlines are under great threat due to our activities. It is estimated that 80% of ocean waste originates from land while we also produce more than 300 million tons of plastic every year which a large portion of it ends up in the ocean.
Coastal Cleanup Day began more than 30 years ago and is one of the world’s largest volunteer initiative aimed to preserve and protect our ocean, waves and beaches.
