Water Conservation Challenge

22 Mar, 2020

World Water day is held every year on the 22nd of March, it celebrates water, raises awareness, and focus on the importance of freshwater. This years theme is "water and climate" highlights how both are co-related and interlinked. Water can help fight climate change and each one of us can play a role. By conserving water and being more efficient lives can be saved and emissions can be reduced.

The UAE has one of the highest water consumption in the world due to several factors, its climate, high income and increasing population. We as Individuals can also take part by monitoring our own footprint and identify areas of improvement and reduction to contribute to water conservation.

The water footprint calculator assess your impact and consumption of goods and services on freshwater systems and formulating strategies to reduce those impacts. It includes your tap water use and the water used to produce your food, gas, electricity. Find out your estimated water footprint here, screenshot your results and identify 3 actions you can take to limit your footprint! Email your results to [email protected] to gain an impact badge!
