The Intenrational Coastal Clean up day (ICC) occurs every third saturday of September each year. ICC aims to engages people to remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways. Thanks to volunteers around the world, the ICC has become a beacon of hope, leading and inspiring action in support of our ocean. Since its beginning, more than 17 million volunteers have collected more than 348 million pounds of trash. For more than 35 years, the ICC has galvanized communities worldwide to collect trash that pollutes our waterways, making our coasts cleaner and our ocean healthier.
On this guided Kayak and clean up tour, participants will celebrate and take action on International Coastal Clean up Day by learn about mangrove ecosystems, collect and remove litter, and geo-tag data around litter to inform national policies on single-use plastic.
