Head of the Convention on Migratory Species Abu Dhabi Office

Lyle Glowka, is Head of the Convention on Migratory Species Abu Dhabi Office. A biologist and international environmental lawyer, Lyle has published widely on biodiversity-related issues. He has worked in a variety of capacities in the CMS Secretariat over the course of a 13-year career with the Convention. He led the development of number of supplementary international agreements under the Convention’s framework including the early conceptual work to develop the CMS Raptors MoU and the CMS Dugongs MoU both of which are now coordinated from CMS Office in Abu Dhabi. Prior to re-joining CMS in 2013, Lyle was the Legal Advisor to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
